“Questions and perspectives on the use of mathematics and data science in the field of social intervention” |
| The field of social intervention encompasses a broad spectrum of programs and services designed to improve the lives of individuals and social groups. Although seldom used, mathematics – and more broadly, data science – are powerful tools that can advance research on a variety of topics such as poverty, disability, education, childhood, dependency, or addictions. In order to enhance the effectiveness of social intervention and also contribute to a better understanding of social phenomena and issues, CerSo – a consortium of four professional social work training institutions, ARIFTS (Pays de la Loire), HÉTIS (Nice), IRTS Haut de France, and IRTS La Réunion – is mobilizing to create new interactions between data science, philosophy, ethics, and practitioners on the ground. ➡️ Download the presentation brochure in french |
| How? By organizing a series of interaction seminars, the first two of which will be held in 2024 in Nice and Brussels. These will be followed by other events organized within the CerSo network.
